Mishandling of my New Phone's Exchange

Hi there,

I am not pleased with the treatment we are receiving from the Vodacom Vincent Branch in East London.

I took out a contract for the 2 for 1 iPhone 6s's, 1 was problematic-it wasn't switching on and my sister took it to the Vincent Store, after testing it they asked her to bring the proof of purchase and all accessories so that they may have it taken in for an exchange, she did so on the 08th and was given Job Number: ***5. She was told it would be sent to Johannesburg and we would receive an update via sms.

I called the Repair centre yesterday to check on the progress and I was told the phone never left the store, it has been at the Vincent branch since the 08th, they discovered that "find my iPhone" was activated on the phone, Guys.., the phone is dead, it does not switch on, how it has an Apple ID and was activated is beyond me and very questionable. The phone is brand new, I received it sealed. They rendered it incompliant for the OBF terms and conditions and did not swop it out. We were not given any sort of update, the phone has been at that store since the 08th and it is still dead. I have already paid my 1st subscription and another will go off on Friday and I still do not have a working phone.

The staff at the branch have not treated this with any sort of care, no one has bothered to update us, the phone is still there and it still dead, of what use is it to me dead? If the phone has an active Apple ID surely details of whose that is should be available and whether the phone is active or not on the Vodacom network, which brings me to question whether Vodacom and Apple are selling recycled phones as Brand New? No one is treating us with any decency at that store and we would like a brand new phone that works.
