Mis-sold policy, Vodacom not interested

On the 9th December 2017 I was contacted by Ngcobo from Elite Mobile on behalf of Vodacom. I was asked if I wished to renew or upgrade my contract as it was coming to an end. I have been with Vodacom for 7 years and had intended to stay with them but I was going to change to pay as you go as I didn't want a new phone. Ngcobo offered me a very good deal package at R199 per month which included some data, minutes and sms. I thought this would be fine so I agreed, I asked during the call more than once if the agent was 100% sure that the bill was R199 per month and no more, she assured me this was the case. Needless to say, it was not the case and I have now been charged R733 for the month of December. I contacted Elite Mobile and asked them what was going on, they agreed to listen to the phone call and see what had been said. They never contacted me back I again had to call them to be told that they had listened to the call and that the agent had told me it was am "smart s" package etc etc. No mention of what I had asked during the call, how am I to know what package is what when I'm in my car on the other end of the phone??? At the end of the day I asked the question that I needed to ask more than once and was obviously **** to just to get the sale.

I have contacted Vodacom who just want to pass the buck, they are not interested in helping with this matter at all!! I have been with them for 7 years spending on average R700 per month thats a lot of money in my book and I think I deserve some kind of service from Vodacom in this matter. Elite mobile may have sold the contract but its a Vodacom contract at the end of the day. NOT HAPPY. Will be porting my number to Cell C asap.

Ivan Thompson.

Thank you for the call, I didn't get your name. I resolved this issue myself with no help from Vodacom at all. In fact you called me to enquire about the issue today (30th January) 12 days after I posted my complaint. Says it all.
