Mis-representation & Mis-selling

I was about to leave/emigrate from South Africa in November 2022 with no active Vodacom contract in place (was operating for over a year on PAYG in preparation). I went into the Mall of Africa branch to cancel the account and was persuaded by the sales lady to leave my SIM card in place in case I intended to visit during the next year and that this would cost me R48pm. I foolishly agreed and now, over a year later, find myself with a 2-year contract at R88.48pm that I simply cannot seem to be able to cancel without a huge penalty. Never mind the fact that I can't even use it as I'm not in the country!

Now they want a multitude of questions answered before they'll even contemplate cancelling this, including the email address to which my statements and invoices are sent. Well, despite keeping all of my email addresses active, I don't receive any statements or invoices. This whole thing is a case of mis-representation and I'm signed up for something I can't even use, and have not once used since it started.
