Mindblowingly Bad Service!

Despite having emailed Vodacom twice, phoned customer care at least 5 times to change my debit order bank details, Vodacom continue to debit my old bank account. This debit has been rejected because the old bank account is inactive and I therefore phoned AGAIN to ask that they debit my new bank account for the outstandings (including interest!). Once again, the old bank account was debited, with the same result. I phoned Vodacom AGAIN to tell them that if they suspended my account due to non-payment despite my various attempts to change bank account details, I would cancel my contract. The customer service consultant assured me the new bank account would be debited.

Today, my Vodacom account was suspended.

I phoned Vodacom customer care again to ask how I could get it reactivated asap. I was told that I just needed to wait until my next debit order date and then it would 'sort itself out'. When I asked the customer care consultant if they understood that they were asking me to just not use my cellphone for 10 days due to their mistake, she said there was nothing they could do because my debit order date is the 15th of the month.

I actually can't believe the useless service and have decided to just go back onto prepaid because having paid about R1000 a month to Vodacom for the past decade now makes me feel sick.

Get your act together!
