Milking money out of me after cancelling contract

I have cancelled my contract in time in April. Phoned a whole month early. I stopped using the account from which the debit orders go off and the last debit order bounced. Since then it has been a NIGHTMARE. I get charged every month, and I've phoned several times. I went into the shop and paid the "outstanding amount", and was told I won't be charged again. Guess what? I get charged again. It's now end of August and now I'm told I owe them even more money, for "closing the contract?". The lady cannot tell me what that means and just keeps repeating herself. I don't get any emails or sms from them, but I get a lawyers letter. The invoice says I owe a R140, and the lady on the phone says I owe R477, and everybody has a different story. I desperately want to be done with this. I never want to do business with Vodacom ever again.

Be warned, they will NOT let you just cancel a contract. Do not take contracts out with Vodacom, you will never have peace again.
