Migration or Upgrade.
Once again I am very disappointed with service received from Vodacom. I get a call from Mr Zondo who works for Vodacom's rewards department. Mr Zondo calls me and offers a contract migration to save me costs on my current contract. I tell him my contract is due for upgrade in July. He says it will not affect my upgrade as this a contract migration and it is to save me money for the last couple of months. After him making many promises over the phone and convincing me that this will affect my upgrade a agree to the migration and savings as he promises. He even goes so far as to say I just have to dial *** and just ask for him by name and I will be able to speak to him. Guess what I spoke to him end of January. 7 February I call regarding this migration and not receiving what was promised, and no body knows Mr Zondo 27 February I receive an SMS saying my upgrade has been done. I receive an email with the quotation for my upgrade to sign if I accept. I phone Vodacom the next day - the friendly lady on the side of the phone says if I want to cancel now I will have to a premature cancellation fee. I say no I was told this is a migration and not an upgrade. She says they will have to refer it to their (Back office) If I heard the name correctly. I will receive a call later that day to tell me what is happening. I have called now on three different days and a week has already passed and nothing from Vodacom. Monday I receive a call from our local vodacom shop telling me I am due for an upgrade. I explain to her what has happened and she promises to call me back the next day. Guess what - typical vodacom service - call. Why does vodacom employ people who do things like this to their clients?
What I would like to know - from anybody who is competent at vodacom - how are they going to cancel the contract that was only supposed to be a migration? When will somebody help me and why are clients treated like this by vodacom employees?
I hope somebody can assisst me as I always take a new deice when upgrading. Now I will most probably be stuck for another 2 years and thanks to Mr Zondo for all this
Regards Daren

Your upgrades team referred me to the cancellation department. Still no help. Like I said - one week has already passed and vodacom is still not giving feedback
