Messed around over simple application

A long saga. The bare bones of it:-<br> 1. My daughter to turn 16, time for her first mobile. Vodacom.<br> 2. I phone what I think is Vodacom using the number on the Vodacom site, speak to agent re options. Agent has to go home and I say I need to look around and call back.<br> 3. I did not proceed with any applications.<br> 4. I call Elite Mobile. They have what we want so we proceeded with application.<br> 5. Elite cancels due to me supposedly uncontactable. No record of their trying. Much to-and-fro. Application put back on track.<br> 6. Vodacom blocks due to supposed application via a Like Minds Consulting.<br> 7. Much to-and-fro. Turns out my first call to Vodacom was to Like Minds. They had called it an application.<br> 8. Shunting from pillar to post for a \deader ID swap". Bad advice.<br> 9. Finally a competent Vodacom sup gets the \""application\"" \""errored\"". Elite Mobile proceeds again.<br> 10. My daughter's birthday missed. I am empty-handed on the day! :-(<br> 11. Today my application is rejected by Vodacom! No reason given - after all my years of loyalty to Vodacom. I know I don't always pay on time but I do pay up every month. My application was only for R120 per month."""
