Management and staff giving attitude
I updgraded on my Vodacom contract at Waterfront branch in Dec '15. I received a Samsung J1 and told it was the best device in my price range. 25 days later I couldn't switch the it on so I took it in for repairs. A few days later I received a call informing me that it had a screen damage and i must pay R700. They told me it doesn't have automatic screen cover (insurance) and I should've taken it separately. Nobody had told me that before (still dont know how much it costs). I asked why I wasn't informed about the insurance, Nicola and Shannon (one of them is branch manager) said it was my obligation as customer to ask for insurance.<br> I contacted Vodacom Customer care and on 11/02/2016, Nathaneil Abrahams said he had escalated my query (ref EC-04QV-225ZNU). I sent email this morning for update and 30 min later received a call to collect it. When i arrived I was told it hasn't been repaired 'cos I haven't paid the R700. The lady assisting me didn't give me a chance to explain anything, but was only interested in telling me that \I have cancelled your quote 'cos you didn't pay and you can have your phone back,\" The attitude with which this was said leaves much to be desired."
