Malpractice and Vodacoms Audactity
I write this review to complain about Vodacom's treatment in a few steps:
1. I went into Vodacom's doors requesting unlimited Wi-Fi which I got for a few months and received an SMS that's it's no longer unlimited. 2. The network was constantly giving me issues and had been calling Vodacom many times throughout my contract informing them that the network is not responding, and they would tell me things like we refreshing your line, take the sim out and put it back, go check your router at your nearest Vodacom shop, which I did. Also, most puzzling is that some consultants say some others are more trained than the others, my question is who should be serviced by consultants that are not fully competent? hence we have this issue today. 3. I tried upgrading to a higher speed hoping that the product will respond but all efforts were in vain from a network point and the consultants **** about the fees and had to reverse them all due to the misleading information. 4. In May 2024 i wrote an extensive email to Vodacom care but was blatantly ignored and sent another one which was also ignored, which shows the professionalism within Vodacom 4. August 2024, I called again complaining about the same issue of the internet connection and was told they would escalate my query for investigation. Wondering why all the other times I called, there were no escalations. 5. The investigation results were that " I do not have coverage in my area and was not supposed to be given the product as Vodacom shops have a responsibility of checking for the coverage when selling such products to customers" and they Vodacom immediately cancelled my contract. 6. From the feedback, I realized that's why my network was so bad which was due to the coverage not being available in my area but also puzzling as to why this was picked up after so long of enquiries about the slow or non-responsive network. 7. Upon realizing that I have been prejudiced for months and months and did not get value for the service I had been paying for due to Vodacom's negligence of their failure to do their necessary checks. 8.Upon receiving all this information and Vodacom cancelling my contract as the product could never respond the way it should, I then requested Vodacom to refund me the entire monies paid over to Vodacom for this particular contract as I never enjoyed value of the service. 9. Upon requesting that all monies are paid over to me as their service was not working at my place of resident, I got a call from a guy called Brian Pale who offered me R2000.00 and when I asked him what informed that R2000.00 he was not able to answer and promised to call me back --- which he never did. 10. I got a credit of R1600.00 with the reasoning that I only logged an escalation in August 2024. Who is supposed to log an escalation? did not Vodacom confirm that the product is not conducive for my environment? 11. Follow ups on why Vodacom is not willing to pay my money, was never answered as I got no value out of the product? instead, they had the audacity that Vodacom just blocked my number from the Vodacom customer care, whilst also still a customer on another contract---- where am i supposed to get customer services?
My main question: if you confirm that i do not have coverage and you cancel my contract on that basis which you had a responsibility to check coverage before giving me the product? Why are you not paying my monies?????? I feel this is blatant exploitation of the people as they do not have the financial/legal muscle to challenge on a fair basis
