Make empty promises about paying my refund
On the 25 February 2015 I made an EFT payment of R971.74 for my Vodacom account and on the 27 February 2015 Vodacom debited my account. I called to request a refund and I received an SMS that I must fax a copy of my proof of payment which I sent on the 03 March 2015 for the attention of Vuyisile Shiba. On the 04 March 2015 I called to follow up and I was told payment would take 7 - 14 days.

Today 17 March 2015 when I call to follow up after an hour of being sent from pillar to post I finally spoke to Melissa who said the request for a refund has not been loaded on the system and I have to wait 7 - 14 days from today. She then tries to cover up the mess Vodacom has done by suggesting that the account is overpaid by some R200 odd rands. I explained to her that this is because of Vodacom did not process my refund but instead credited my account for the March billing.

The principle is that Vodacom should have paid my refund as requested and not try to justify their mistake. It is bad business practice...I NEED MY REFUND - I will pay March bill myself.
