Jan 2017, my phone got cut-off, when querying it I was told I had used data to the value of R3900 and that they disabled my account until payment was made. I logged a complaint and they said they would look into itbut I had to pay R1000 to have my account activated so that i could use my phone. I got an email with a letter 2 weeks later stating (in Vodacom's point of view) I had used the data and the letter in no ways implies liability from Vodacom but in good failth they have credited me for the data usage... I know I didn't use R3900 worth of Data. My phone apps are set to update when I update and not automatically. My phone is activated to use Wifi at the office.

In the middle of February I was again informed that I was running out of Data and I should purchase data. I dialled *111# and set about purchasing 2GB of data, as I have done in the past. I got confirmation adn an sms confirming that I had purchased 2GB for R249 from my bank. a week later I get an sms saying I have used R1200 of out of bundle. I go again to *111# and purchase 2GB again and again get a confirmation sms. A few days later I get a message I have now used R1500 out of bundle data. Now a bit upset I go to Vodacom and log a complaint. They say it will take a few working days. In the meantime I attempt to purchase data once again as I need it to use my phone. I try *111# I was informed that service can't be used, I went through my bank and again get told this service is not working. I download the app and purchase 2GB through the app.. (bare in mind there is an ad campaign stating double your data when you purchase through the app) I get confirmation of purchase and carry on. a few days later I get informed via sms that I have now used R2000 of out of Data Bundle... All the time my bank account is not being debited for the data amounts, the transactions did in fact not go through but I get no notification.

Once again I get a letter from Vodacom with the generic response, I have in fact used the data and Vodacom does not admit liability but will credit the amount of R1300 to my account.

It was then on 2nd MArch I decided to look at my profile online and saw that somehow I had 750mb left of my monthly 1,5GB data over for the month meaning I had used half my data in a day and a half... come-on, AND that I had somehow miraculously used 5hrs talk time in the same amount of time! And on top of that the invoice pending for beginning April is R2900

Furious I now go to Vodacom again and wait. I was told I needed to see the interim account manager (IAM) as an actual account manager does not reside at this store V&A Waterfront. I get the ticket, and then get shown to a consultant. I ask for the IAM and am told he is busy... I can see him 1 meter away but he is busy. Eventuallthe consultant says I have to see ther IAM (waste of time) they both look at the account and agree there is something wrong, they will log a complaint, take all documentation and send it off. They don't give me a reference number or anythign just say someone will get back to me. It has been 3 days..... Nothing

Today I go into my profile to see whats happening as I got a message that in 7 days I had used all but 250mb of data and surprise I can't log into my account it gives me a "WhiteLabel Error Page" but I get an sms and a mail saying I have logged into my account. I ask my business partner, also with Vodacom to log into his account, and instant log-on. I then try logging on through my phone ap and the phone app quits - strange!!!!

Vodacom, if you are reading, please get someone to get hold of me as I have had it. I am due an upgrade and I am having serious doubts as to the competence, honesty adn integrity of the business.
