Maddening

1. Order Vodacom contract from online store.

2. Receive phone with nano-sim requirement but micro-sim card.

3. Phone Gardens vodacom shop multiple times throughout the morning, no one answers.

4. Go to Gardens, do not appear busy, do not understand why they did not answer the phone. Do not comment proceed with query.

5. They inform me I need to do sim - swap. Sim is not activated so they cannot help me. Incredibly unhelpful on the issue.

6. Go home phone activation department, sim card is now activated.

7. Return to store, sim swap completed. Charge me R69 to do this even though their fault, say I can claim back from online by submitting invoice. Great more admin. (Store personnel continually make comments that I should not have got my contract online - and that mismatched sims is a common problem)

8. Request them to perform number port from CellC. Expicitly say that I have talked to CellC porting department and that they need to ensure that they do the port as a post paid port. They do it as a prepaid port. (Guy assisting me seems new so I am okay with this - and I receive an sms immediately from CellC saying the port was refused, so return). They now do the port correctly. They are insistant I cannot complete the port at the store as I got the contract online. (Senior person says this, not the new person).

9. Call the helpline to complete the sim swap as it had not gone through even though they said would take 2-4 hours. Receive very good service from person I spoke to. Sim swap complete. Assists me with number for porting department.

10. Call porting department. They say that the store is talking rubish and that they should have completed the port. He then says I can try the online number. Call them and they say I must call the porting departments. I say to him "no no no" porting department said I should try you. He then says okay I am transferring you to the sales department. This time there is no time to repond and he transfers me immediately.

11. I hear "If you would like to take out a new Vodacom contract please press 1". Put down phone and proceed to write this review.

I hope the quality of Vodacom's network supersedes their really ****py customer services.
