Recently a contract has been taken out at Vodacom Vanderbijlpark See below process of Samsung S8: On 30 May 2017 contract was signed On 01 June 2017 device was delivered at Vodacomshop Vanderbijlpark 26 June the device was booked in J/C ********** 3 The same day sms was received for collection, which I did. The following day the device did the exact same thing. I went back and reported it, they gave me the same Job Card number and said it would be sent out for repairs which would take 7 – 14 workdays. I have heard nothing no sms as previous times. But still waited, after 11 work days I went in to found out how far along procedure are. Where to my surprise they came down with my phone never being send in. That same day 12 July they booked it at Vodacom repairs J/C ********** 2 turnaround time approximate 2-3 days. At the Advanced Repair centre time for warranty repair would be 5 – 7 days On 17 July the device was ready for pick up. To where I was told that the fault would never happen again and if so, I would receive a new device. To my surprise where it’s supposed to be a “wiped clean device” I received one of those working there’s detail saved on the device, including salary increases for Vodacom staff. Again on 20 September the device did the exact same thing J/C ********** 7 approximate time 2 -3 days. The following day allocated time moved up 5-7 days. A sms was received on 27 September that device is ready for collection After a lot of e-mail correspondence ( as attached) and not collecting device. It was tested in store. ¾ calls and the device did the exact same thing. New J/C ********** 3 was created 05 October and device send out for repairs – again. Thus meaning that I would’ve probably taken the device back the following day as I don’t just receive one phone call a day On 10 October sms was received that device is ready for collection - still I didn’t. 12 October Hester emailed that device has been tested again and addressing the exact problem that I have with Samsung S8 which means it’s still unrepaired.
This means since 1 June up to date (not working on today as I haven’t collected it yet) 19 October in almost 4 months my phone was more in for repairs than I had use of it. Up to date (16/11/2017) I was phoned once to collect the device, by an arrogant lady. Where I immediately lost my bearings after I asked what will be done if the device is still doing the exact same thing - her reply: "then it will just be send in again"
