********ly signed for a contract by a member of the contract upgrades team.

I'm writing to complain about a contract I allegedly entered into with Vodacom, one of South Africa's leading telecommunications providers. I'm shocked and disappointed to have recently discovered that I've been signed up for a 24-month contract with your company, despite not having given my explicit consent to do so.

I had a telephonic conversation with one of your agents, during which I explicitly requested that the contract details be sent to me via email for my review and signature. I received the contract documents via email, but I didn't respond to them as I was awaiting further clarification on certain aspects of the contract. I also received SMS notifications from Vodacom, but I didn't respond to these either, as I wasn't aware that they were related to the contract.

I'm objecting to being signed up for this contract without my explicit consent, and I'm requesting that Vodacom cancels the contract with immediate effect. I want the cellphone call recordings pulled and listened to, and I want a detailed explanation of how I was signed up for this contract.

If I don't receive a response within two business days, I'll take the matter further with the Ombudsman Services: Telecommunications (OST) and/or the National Consumer Commission (NCC).

I've been a loyal customer, but this experience has left a sour taste.
