LTE Service *****s Money

On the 22 of June 2016 I topped up my airtime for emergency calls as I was travelling. A few days later having not made any calls I was informed that I had run out of airtime via the Vodacom advisory service. I called Vodacom's customer service centre who informed me that my phone used up my airtime to update LTE at R2 per gigabyte. Can Vodacom kindly inform me:

1. What services where updated.

2. Where these services full updated with all my airtime.

3. Who gave permission for these services to be updated using my airtime.

4. Why is there no notification that the services are being updated with an option to update at these exhorbitant rates.

5. Who approved the use of the LTE service on my mobile phone.

6. If there was an emergency and I needed to use the phone will Vodacom accept responisbility for loss of life and or personal injury due to the covert *****ing of airtime without the users knowledge.
