Lost/Deleted number after I cancelled/ended my contract

I called vodacom customer care and requested that they should cancel my current, I recieved an email of the premature cancellation quote. I filled out the requied information and stated that I wanted to keep my number as prepaid. I faxed the relevant documentation (Signed quote, Proof of payment and ID) to the Vodacom Fax server ( ********** ).

10 days later, I am still struggling to get number number active!!!! I have been told Today(7 july 2016) that I need to go in store and pay a R280 activation fee!!! Its not my fault they deleted my number, why should I pay to reactivate it!!!!

I have been noticing a huge downgrade in Vodacom customer services. I am not happy at all.

I would like to know what exactly is going on? I have been in store and requested that my number be activated again and was told that they cant. I have been back and forth between email, customer care and in store multiple times to try and sort this out. I have been patient and now completely fed up. I requested for premature cancellation, I have settled the amount requested on the premature cancellation quote and requested my number be put to pre paid. My account has always been in good standing order for well over 5 years. I am disgusted that I have been handed over to your legal department, for reason that my account is in arrears but as I stated my account has been in good standing order. If this is how Vodacom is treating there customers, Its no wonder everyone is moving to other service providers. If this situation is not resolved by the end of this month, I will renounce my Vodacom number and move to another service provider.
