On the 30th March 2017 I bought R200 airtime which i then checked on my vodacom App it was showing. because vodacom say they running a promotion if you purchase data via the my vodacom app you get double the data off which the promotional extra will be valid for 7 days. i bought 1 Gig which is R149 andc i was rewarded with extra 1 Gig of promotional to equal to 2 Gig. they say you use the promotional data first then when it has lapsed you use from the other one you bought which was for 30 days. monday i was at work and have wifi so after work i check my balance on the app it says i have some certain amount of airtime plus 1024MB of data. now all of the sudden my data is gone i have nothing, how can i be using my data when i am connected on Wifi? i call the vodacom solutions department and the lady says the data is finished because i used all but this is nonsense. this is the second time vodacom takes my data thinking that i will not notice, i even heard on one of the radio station one of the dj was experiencing this issue. what fascinate me is the lady i was talking to says the app must have made a mistake saying that i had 1024MB at that time because it does sometimes, this is nonsdense because the app does tell you the time it last updated the balance and it was the current time i checked. vodacom i need my data back and stop cheating people off their data.

An investigation has been completed and your billing was found to be completely correct. As a once-off gesture of goodwill your account was credited with 1GB. Ports of connectivity point to Facebook, Twitter, google services and bittorrent as being the highest contributors to the volume of data used.
You can go to your PlayStore settings to change the way installed apps are updated. To save costs turn off Auto-Sync (Google Account) as well as Backup and Reset feature in Settings menu. To close background activity, hold the HOME button down. To see which apps used your data, go to Settings - Data Usage (change usage cycle to display a specific day).
