On 29 November I purchased 50mb data. On 30 November I purchased 1 gig at 10:00 and 500mb at 4:00. At 6:30 I received a sms from Vodacom that my data was depleted. I immediately called Vodacom because I knew this was an error because I would have never used that amount of data in a day. A gig normally lasts me 2 weeks. I called Vodacom on 1 December and was told I should reset my phone and all will be well. The consultant could see the data purchases but no usage on the data. At 2:00 am 2 December the data was still not available showing my data balance as 0:00. I called Vodacom at 2:00 in the early hours of 2 December and was told that there is a network error with Vodacom and that I should please be patient the error will be rectified. Friday 2 December 8:00 the error has not been rectified. I call Vodacom for the 3rd time. This time to be told that my complaint has been escalated to the Back Office (whatever that means). I will receive feedback before 10:00. Promptly at 10:00 I received a sms informing me that my data was used on ITUNES this the depletion. I am 50 years old. I have never used iTunes in a long long while. I have bought data before why has it not been depleted. I bought a gig on 2 December and I have 900mb still available. None of my applications are running in the background either. I have had an IPhone for over 5 years. I am well aware of how to manage my applications to ensure nothing is open in the background and cellular data is switched off. I believe Vodacom has **** to me and had used ITunes as an excuse. Vodacom should take responsibility and own up that somethings went terribly wrong and return my data. I have heard of many instances when this has happened. Not so long ago Vodacom gave us data because of our data getting lost. VODACOM IAM TERRIBLY UPSET AND I AM ALMOST CONTEMPLATING MOVING TO ANOTHER NETWORK DUE TO YOUR LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY AND EMPATHY.
