Loss of data due to Vodacom's unilateral early termination of contract

After the August fiasco during which Vodacom customers lost data, I had a dispute with Vodacom regarding my 4G data which they insisted that I had used. The returned my cell phone data, but for 4G they were insistent that I had used 30 Gig even though I only had a 10 gig contract.

I decided that after this, that Vodacom was not a reputable company and that my 4G contract would not be renewed when it terminated at the end of October 2017.

On 30 October, Vodacom cancelled my contract, ahead of the termination date, and the 4 Gig of data I had, was forfeited.

This is a breach of contract by Vodacom. I contracted for a full month and paid for a full month, but Vodacom simply ignored their own agreement leaving me without data at a time when I had to pay salaries and settle bills.

I made a request that if only, one Gig of my contract data be transferred to my cell phone, I could set it up as a hot spot so that I could attend to end of month matters. Zoleli said that my request would be considered and that after 24 to 48 hours, a decision might be made. That was simply not acceptable.

Vodacom has once shown total disrespect for their own contracts and the needs of their customers. I cannot wait for my cell phone contract to run out, which will not be renewed by Vodacom.
