Locked phone

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the customer service I have received from Vodacom over the past several days. My experience has been characterized by empty promises, lack of follow-through, and an overall failure to resolve my issue. Below, I detail my interactions with various Vodacom representatives and channels:

In-Store Visit - Mabopane Branch: I spent nearly two hours at the Vodacom Mabopane branch, last Friday. Mr. Zulu assisted me and made multiple attempts to resolve my issue, including restarting my phone numerous times. Despite Mr. Zulu's efforts, I left the branch with my problem still unresolved.

Customer Service Hotline - 082 135: After the unsuccessful in-store visit, I attempted to contact the 082 135 customer service number. This service proved to be extremely ineffective, with no option to speak directly to a representative who could assist or escalate my issue. The lack of human interaction and problem-solving capabilities on this line is unacceptable for a company of Vodacom's stature. Please do away with that bot Tobi, it use completely useless.

Social Media Outreach - Twitter/X: On Saturday night, I resorted to sending a direct message to Vodacom's customer service account on Twitter/X. A representative named Dion contacted me on Sunday morning, stating he would follow up on resolving my issue. Dion informed me that he would escalate the matter to management. However, I received no further communication or feedback throughout the entirety of Monday.

The lack of resolution and consistent communication is deeply frustrating. As a loyal Vodacom customer, I expect: Timely resolution of issues, especially those that persist after an in-store visit. Clear and accessible channels for escalation when initial attempts at resolution fail. Follow-through on promises made by customer service representatives. Regular updates on the status of ongoing issues, even if a final resolution has not yet been reached.

I urge Vodacom to: Immediately address and resolve my ongoing issue. Provide a clear explanation for the delays and lack of communication. Implement better training and processes for customer service representatives to ensure consistent follow-up and escalation procedures. Improve the 082 135 hotline to allow for direct human interaction in complex cases.

I have been a Vodacom customer for many years, and this experience has seriously damaged my trust in your company. I expect a prompt response detailing how you plan to address both my specific issue and the systemic problems in your customer service approach.
