Locked dual sim setting

So according to Vodacom, Vodacom does not sell dual sim phones. I had a choice between a variety of phones however I chose a P10 Lite due to the dual sim capability only to find out that using 2 Vodacom Sims in the P10 is not possible. The choice of phone was mine to make however the Choice of service provider was not as this is a company sponsored cell phone. Why does Vodacom disable the dual sim capability of a P10 even though both Sims being used are with Vodacom?
