Load shedding in other Zones affecting Fibre in my Zone.
I recently signed up with Vodacom fibre. Its been less than a month and every time there is load shedding in 2 other zones in Richards Bay, my fibre line drops. So that's 6 hours of downtime including load shedding in my zone. Why does the line in my zone drop due to load shedding in other zones? Surely you should have UPS or generators powering the vodacom fibre. 6 hours downtime is not acceptable at all. You are a service provider. That's really pathetic. Vodacom is also so expensive compared to other providers. The other fibre providers don't have downtime when there is load shedding in other zones. Vodacom really needs to up their game. Unfortunately Vodacom is the only provider in my zone. :( :( :( Otherwise I would have went with Afrihost. Another issue is Vodacom is charging me for the few days I had fibre in February. I thought the first month was suppose to be free. My fibre was activated on the 17th of February. I received a invoice for the 17th to the 29th of February and from 1st to 31st March. Plus R910 installation fee. That's over R2100 that I need to pay end of March. Thanks for nothing for giving me one month free!!! Please install UPS or generators in Richards Bay ASAP or I will consider going back to Telkom ADSL.
