LIVID IS NOT THE WORD!!! I DESPISE VODACOM AFTER BEING WITH THEM FOR 13 YEARS!!!

I have been with Vodacom for 13 years. I worked for Nashua Mobile and always had all the other networks offering me fabulous deals but I NEVER left Vodacom, I remained loyal.

Today I sit here, with Vodacoms spit in my face and wonder WHY!!!

I took out a new cellular contract with Vodacom 23 months ago (I was planning to upgrade next month to the Samsung galaxy S8)

EVERY SINGLE MONTH for the past 23 months, Vodacom has debited me between the 2nd and the 4th of the month and the amount is always R757.50 ON THE DOT!!

This month on the 7th of the month, they decided to DOUBLE debit me an amount of 1515.

I spoke to Brandon the store manager in North gate first as this is where I took my contract out. I spoke to him at 9am and I told him the ENTIRE story! He advised me that he had managerial duties to complete and he would call me back by no later than 10.30am, he would check my account and then when he called back he would have some sort of answer for me.

I CALLED HIM BACK AT 15.30 THAT AFTERNOON! I RECIEVED NO CALL FROM HIM!

When I eventually got through to him, he said "what was your issue again" I explained again and then his answer, after making me wait an entire day was "there is nothing that I can do about billing, you need to speak to our accounts department" and he gave me a number of: **********

Thanks for nothing Brandon!

So after attemting to dial this stupid number 7 or 8 times, each time it asks you to key in your cellular number, you do it PERFECTLY and it just says "we do not recognise your number, please call again later" and then drops the ****** line on you!!!

EVENTUALLY I got through to a woman in the call centre, she went through all my invoices and even confirmed on which date every month I was debited. She then back tracked, after confirming each and every debit from Jan 2017 till June 2017, she turned around and said "you never paid in April"

I was speechless. I said "you just confirmed that I paid on the 3rd of April, I am looking at my FNB statement right now!"

She then says she will call me back as she is "trying to figure it out"

by this time I had been on the phone with her for over an hour (my airtime!!!)

She called me back at around 4pm that afternoon (I was so amazed that somebody from Vodacom can actually call you back!)

She said that she can see I have infact paid and my account is fully up to date and it was a fault of Vodacoms side that they double billed me.

She said it was late and she would only be able to speak to the accounts department in the morning.

The next day comes (which is today the 9th of June)

I am anxious to get my money back as my account is now empty!!!

I go through the same DISGUSTING process of trying to enter my number in and it not being recognized, this take around15 minutes of my airtime - I eventually get through to a consultant to whom I have to explain the ENTIRE story again, she is getting frustrated with me and chatting to her colleague about me in an Afican language.

She comes back on the line after making me hold for 18 minutes and says "you never paid in March"

FFS!!!! NOW ITS MARCH!!!!!!!!

I start yelling, she eventually says "oh Im sorry, my mistake, you did"

My blood is beyond boiling by now.

She says we can pay you back but it will only clear in 7-14 days.

I refused and said that it was Vodacoms fault in the first place and I NEED MY MONEY TODAY!!! MY ACCOUNT IS EMPTY!

SHE DROPS THE PHONE IN MY EAR!!!

F*&%$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CALL AND SPEAK TO ANOTHER AGENT, ANOTHER HOUR ON THE PHONE, ANOTHER 4 SECURITY CHECKS, ANOTHER IDIOT TELLING ME I AM IN ARREARS AND THEN 5 MINUTES LATER SAYING "Oh sorry you are not"

I go through the same process for the THIRD F*&^%$# TIME, 3 hours later of airtime, 2 days in a row and guess what????????????????

When I demand to speak to a manager regarding the payment, take a big fat guess what your brilliant, trained, proffesional Vodacom call centre agent did to me????

SHE DROPPED THE CALL AGAIN!!!!!!!

VODACOM!!!!! I WANT MY R757.50 BACK TODAY!!!!!!!!!!

AND JUST TO BE CLEAR, YOU HAVE JUST CONFIRMED MY DECISION TO PORT TO CELL C NEXT MONTH WHEN MY CONTRACT TERM IS DONE. AFTER 13 YEARS!!!!!!!!!

So... I call through and explain my entire STORY to the billing department again today.
The lady there says she is going to put me through to a supervisor.
I explain it all to the supervisor and she says to me that the reason I was double debbited is because I asked them to change my debit order date from the 1st till the 7th. (I actually asked for the 2nd but they said no they could only make it the 7th)
I said to her that this makes NO sense to me, how can you double debit me because I changed my debit order date, how can anyone afford a double debit just because they changed the date? Why was this not explained to me?
She said to me " you are the customer and you must listen"
She said that our system says "0" which means that your account is up to date, nobody will be giving you a refund (in these words!!!)
I lost my temper and asked her how does it make sense that you debit me R757.50 every month and now its double and you say you dont owe me anything.
She said yes we dont owe you anything and the debit will go off again next month.
I asked her to email me the call recording as I use to work at Nashua Mobile and I know that they customer can request the call recording, she said to me "I will not email you the call recording, this is not Nashua Mobile, this is Vodacom and the call recording is the property of Vodacom"
She then said that she will be dropping the call on me and I must have a nice day.
Her name is VUYO JACK (if she supp**** it correctly)
I am so exhaused and disgusted with Vodacom!!!!
Please can sombody senior contact me!!!
I am a consumer and I have rights!!!!!!!
