Linux Updates Blocked on Vodacom

For the past few years have various people complained that Vodacom blocks updates from Linux Mint repositories.

WHY DO WE PAY FOR A SERVICE WHICH WE ARE NOT ABLE TO USE? Updating Linux Mint is DEFINATELY not ******* or pirating or any of the other typical excuses.

Vodacom, PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM!!!

Vodacom responded within 24 hours and is currently working on the problem by offering me an unrestricted APN. Will post feedback as soon as the issue has been resolved. Thanks for the quick response Vodacom!

Vodacom has, quickly quickly and efficiently, opened up my APN to 'unrestricted'. This allows Linux Mint updates through now. As to the security of this new scenario, only time will tell. Thanks for the quick response Vodacom
