Lies from Vodacom
A Vodacom representative called me to upgrade my contracts. I was offered the following, and I have the recording to proof this:
For my cellphone:
Red Premium Select Plus package @ R799/month that includes:
800 anytime minutes (that will carry over if not used for 6 months, FIFO - first in first out)
Unlimited SMSs
22GB data (that will carry over if not used for 3 months, FIFO - first in first out, and I can transfer part or all ot this data, at no additional cost, to any Vodacom number. The transferred data would still be valid for the original 3 months from when it was first allocated)
For my tablet:
250MB top up package @R29/month
This was the smallest data package to still keep the SIM live and active as I would have extra data on my cell that could be transferred here free.
There was still about 3 GB data left on the tablet package which conveniently disappeared on the morning of 31/08/2019. The device onboard meassuring showed less than 1GB data used for the month, 1-31 August. A complaint was lodged and I received an SMS that the investigation was completed and that 5GB of data would be credited to me. This did not heppened.
Now that I am on the new contracts I am told that both the minutes and data will carry over for just one month and are not FIFO, it cannot be accessed untill the minutes/data allocated for the new month has been used.
I cannot transfer data to my tablet as both MUST be on the same type of contract, i.e. open contract. If I do however transfer some data to an eligible Vodacom number, it will cost R25 per transfer and all transferred data will expire at the end of the month it was transferred in.
Furthermore, the monthly data on the Red Premium Select Plus package is apparently only 2GB with an additional 20GB for the first year only although the contract is for 2 years. This is not what was offered to me.
I called Voadcom's service number and complained without any joy.
I went in to Vodacom at Vadaworld, Midrand and spoke to Tshepiso and his manager Motshabi on Wednesday 04/09/2019, who promised feedback by Tuesday 10/09/2019. I was also promissed good faith 2GB data to another Vodacom number while they sort out the problems (I would have transferred data to the number from the 22GB if all worked as promised). This did not happen.
The reference number given by Mothabi was closed on Monday 09/09/2019, notification by SMS only. No explanation given, no feedback given, no rectification of the problems and no attempt to live up to their promises.
Very poor service from Vodacom and I cannot help but feel cheated and **** to.
