Lies, deceit and contempt. The Vodacom values.

Don’t get duped into agreeing to any offers made by Vodacom’s outbound sales company, The Rewards Company. They blatantly **** to me to get me to sign up for a Vodacom data contract. Told me I could transfer the data to other numbers. When I found out I couldn’t, I spent ages on the phone to Vodacom to cancel. Eventually they sent a courier to collect the sim and hardware. But when I called to confirm that the contract is cancelled, Vodacom tells me it’s still active and they can’t do anything about it. I have to call the Rewards *****. But the number for them doesn’t work. So I’m paying for something I don’t have, and Vodacom won’t do anything about it other than ‘escalate’ it. I have 4 other lines on contract with them and won’t be renewing any of them. Especially since They had the audacity to try and upgrade me while I’m trying to cancel a contract the sold me dishonestly.

A modicum of trust has been restored. Vodacom sent me an SMS to say the cancellation has been processed. Still, it cost me about three hours of my time just to confirm cancellation of a contract that was sold to me under false pretences. You would hope that Vodacom would tell it's sales affiliates to stop lying to prospective customers, but I doubt that will happen.
