Lies and more lies!

We were called to upgrade my number by A. Pillay from Vodacom Rewards. She said that she is changing my account to a different account with a lower monthly repayment as my repayment is R577 and she quoted us R318 which she mailed to us. We said we don't want to pay two amounts and she promised that we wouldn't. We also said that I want to keep my number and she said that I would. She informed us that cancellations department would call us the following day but they did not. We then thought that it meant everything was fine on their side because when we called the call was dropped. We received the new handset. Then we got an invoice to say that we now have a new number and my number and the amount will be R1096 per month. We have called *** for assistance, they told us the number is not showing on my account and we must call Vodacom Rewards Cancellations. We did so the following day as they were closed already when we spoke to Vodacom customer service. Then the lady that helped us said that it's already showing on our account and we can't cancel it now. This is unacceptable!! This is the second time we have been duped by Vodacom when they call us to upgrade!! I will be taking this further and we will not be paying that amount as there's a reason we told her we don't want to pay higher amounts and that is because we can't afford it. She blatantly **** to us and then we are left with the problem because there is no accountability!!

I would love to you know what your due course is because it's been 4 days and still no one has called. I also forgot to mention that when we called the customer service department and they told us to call the Rewards Cancellations department, that lady told us that she can't help us because the new number is not yet showing up on the account. But when we called Rewards, they said it was already processed. It seems no one knows what they are doing at Vodacom. Also, the day after the call with A. Pillay, I received an SMS on my number to say 'Your details have been updated on the credit limit system', which also made us think that the consultant had done her job and someone had fixed everything. But it had not. I have already made an appointment with an attorney to sue Vodacom for their lying consultants that just want to make the sale and don't follow through with their jobs.

Hello,

Yes, we were contacted and informed that someone would fetch the handset and then reverse the debit order that was taken for the new subscription that was not supposed to be done. They informed us that they had listened to the recordings and found that A. Pillay was in the wrong. It has been six days and the handset has still not been fetched. The money taken was meant for another debit order because, as we said, we couldn't afford another payment being added to what we already pay you people every month. Please fetch the handset this week and reverse the erroneous payment or I will contact my attorney and inform him to continue.
