Lies and Deception

I've been a loyal Vodacom subscriber since 1999, I've now cancelled my contract due to the severe lies they give their customers and the deception from their *********** sales consultants.

On the 17th of November at 0:01 I submitted my pre-order for a iPhone X and got the reference number: 1E34RA. I was told "You will receive a call from one of our s****ed call-centre agents from 17 November 2017 to confirm your order. " this never happened.

I called the upgrades department twice the next week, 20 and 23 Nov, was told that they could not help me and that no deals are available until the 24th, which was the iPhone X national SA release date.

I called first thing on the 24th and completed my upgrade, iPhone X 256Gb Silver that included Beats Solo 3 headphones + 20gb once off data on a TopUp 350 contract for R1069. The lady on the phone said that I was one of the first to order that day and said my device is secured and will be delivered the next week, she confirmed my address, gave the terms speech etc, all done.

But that's not the truth, I did not receive any email of SMS confirming the upgrade, so I called them the next Monday(27th), after being placed on hold for 40min, I finally spoke to a consultant. She informed me that there has been *****, my account was flagged and upgrade cancelled, nobody notified me about this. She explained that there was another upgrade made on my account, I was then transferred the the original upgrade consultant which said my upgrade was canceled, my account needs verification and I should go into a store to do a new upgrade as my account is **********, no explanation of why...

I phoned the cancelation department and was promised that they can get me the same deal if I don't cancel. I told them that it would be impossible to secure a device as I know NOBODY has stock, after checking the consultant came back with a R1450 deal for the same thing... and as expected, NO STOCK.

He confirmed that the initial upgrade consultant actually loaded my deal twice, that why it was flagged, so due to her incompetency I lost my device allocation and got flagged **********.

So Vodacom, I ask you, why do you even bother doing Pre-Orders on new devices? Even If you are literally one on the first people to Pre-Order, you wont get a call. Even if you are literally one on the first people to phone and order on a device release day, you wont get the deal.

18 years of using the same network, I'm over it. Let me try your competitors. Cheers

To be honest, please DON'T even try to contact me, this isn't something I want addressed or resolved, I just want people to know how *********** your pre-orders and upgrades are. I've moved to MTN and got the phone I wanted, Thanks
