**** TO AND BAD TREATMENT OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS
I have been sent from pillar to post regarding a cellphone contract that expired in January 2018. In January I called Vodacom contract cancellation department and spoke to Nomsa, notify vodacom that when my contract expires in February i do not wish to extend it. Nomsa then advised me to not to terminate my contract but cancel some of the services. During our conversation she did not mention that my contract will be extended for another 24 months. I only found out in June when I wanted to do an upgrade that the contract has been extended for another 24 months. I was then advised that a voice recording of my conversation with Nomsa will be retrieved to understand if Nomsa failed to explain to me that the contract was extended. Till today i still haven't gotten feedback, after speaking to ten agents one of of them being Lydia whom i spoke to in september who assured me that my contract has been cancelled after i told her that i was considering an upgrade, she called me again two days after our initial conversation assuring me that my contract was indeed cancelled and wanted to know which phone I wanted for my upgrade. I then realised after checking on the vodacom app that was contract was still valid. I called again and was assured by Lesego that my complaint will be escalated till today nothing. Today 16 october 2018, I spoke to Zama who told me that my query was not even captured on their systems. i hope this time i will get assistance because i was deceived and **** to. It does not make sense to extend a contract for 24 months with no benefits, in my case a cellphone upgrade.
