LG G4 Repairs

I Just want to thank Vodacom, for the most the most exceptional service ever received. I handed my Cellphone LG G4 in for repair at the Vodacom Repair Center in Somerset West Friday 13 May 2016.My phone was stalling on the LG start up screen. Was advised it was software/operating system error and that a few LG g4 had come in with this issue. My phone was inspected as per normal and submitted for repairs. On the 23rd of May I went online to see progress on repair to find that a quote amount of close to R6000 was issued as warranty had been voided by physical damage. I contacted the repair center and this is where the story gets interesting. The manger told me that due to physical damage the warranty had been revoked, after asking her what physical damage could warrant that a software relate issue could not be repaired, i was told scratches to the screen and chip marks to the side of phone. Now firstly the screen is covered with the OE(original equipment ) screen guard that my phone came with, surely that i the purpose of a screen guard, to abort scratches so that it does not scratch physical screen. As for chips, i as most men put my phone in my pocket, in my pocket is car keys, ligters etc, as most men. To this she responded that she has no authority to take up the matter with vodacom and I would have to do so on y own accord. I was given i number to dial. Did so and the person on the other side advised me to phone another number, and so i went on till on the 5 attempted number i came to customer care where after a lengthy discussion i logged an complained to get someone that could possibly assist me in this matter to explain to me how scratches and chip marks to a removable cover voided my warranty relating to a software issue. A week later i followed up, as i hadn’t as advised received any feedback within 48h. Again given ref number i finally went through to advance repair center, There again i was advised to speak to the Team Leader Cynthia Kgafela, She wasn't available and the agent advised she would get her to contact me, This was the 30th Of May, Till date i haven't received one call from said person. I was notified to come collect my phone from vodacom repair in Somerset west. On reading the report it states: Engineers report 1- Product exchange. This was obviously not done as i received my handset with same problem still. I was advised that it was not replaced. I went on internet and found these forums.

http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g4/547864-lg-g4-stuck-boot-how-can-i-get-out.html

http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/lg-finally-acknowledges-g4-boot-loop-problem-and-it-s-offering-a-fix-***

These people all experienced the same issues and their cellphone carriers exchanged the faulty units. 2nd Forum Shows that LG has come out and admitted some units have issues and also they are replacing it.

So Vodacom , if scratch marks void warranties as being advised by all vodacom staff, related to the terms and condition when signing a new contract, of which i have signed 8 in the last 16 years, possibly no warranty ever gets honored as mentioned handsets get placed in pockets, handbags etc.

And then lastly explain to me how this all rolled out that my phone was not repaired/replaced as this is clearly a problem experienced on LG g4 models
