Lesson needed in dealing with complaints

Bought a cover at Vodashop Eastgate, according to them you can’t change your mind and get a refund. “Store Manager” was a joke, wouldn’t give his name or escalate my complaint. Asked where it says you cannot refund something bought 2 days ago, in original packaging and packet with slip. He referred me to www.vodacom.co.za......good luck finding anything relating to store returns there! I logged a call over a chat with Vodacom, got a reference number only to be called and told that it’s at the wrong department and I must contact the store.....REALLY????? The lady was only interested in hearing her own voice and palming my complaint on to someone else. I eventually told her to “shush”, did she have a hissy fit! “Don’t tell me to shush, I’m not your child” The more I said I refused to speak to the Store Manager the more she wanted to explain why she couldn’t help me but would redirect my complaint so she can close the call. Of course I was told that her Manager isn’t available and can’t help anyway. Wow!! What is the point of having an escalations department? How is it my problem that the complaint went to the wrong department? Why do I have to listen to someone so full of their own importance for 7.23 minutes while at work?
