Less than poor Vodacom service
I have a Vodacom Cellphone account and a Fibre account with Vodacom. In 2020 I canceled the Fibre account at my previous address as I moved to my new house. On taking occupation of the new premises, I had Fibre installed at the new property. The original one was not reinstated but cancelled. The current installation is a new installation. For 2 years I paid R903.08 per month for the Fibre installation at the new property. Suddenly in June 2022 my subscription went up from R903.08 to R2415.26/month. Due to the fact that the account was paid by debit order, I never really became aware of this until the beginning of November 2022.
In November 2022 I contacted Vodacom and queried this amount. I was informed that I had 2 Fibre accounts, one at my new residence and one at the residence where I previously resided. When I inquired as to how the second one was reinstated with approval from me, I was told that it was a mistake and it would be rectified.
It has now been 3 months and yet this matter has not been resolved. Even with numerous calls and reference numbers for the queries and cancellations, nothing has been done. I continued to pay my account as owed for my cell number and the Fibre for the new property. The additional amount of R1512.15 I have not paid as it is a cancelled service of which I have proof.
This amount has now compounded to a figure of roughly R7,000.00, which is not due by me. Due to these arrears they have now cut my services. I have tried endlessly to sort this out but to no avail. it seems to fall on deaf ears.
Not one single department in the Vodacom head office know what the next one is doing. Collections tell me that there is a query on my account which can be seen under my profile and thus they will not suspend my services. Billing is not attending to the issue. Customer services push me from pillar to post. Vodacom Fibre send me notifications that they will remove the re-installed Fibre and reimburse my money, yet to date nothing has happened. I am now cut off although I have paid what I was supposed to pay according to my statement.
I run a business with this Fibre and I have had to get another router that works off a SIM card and load data onto this SIM so that my guests have WIFI as I advertise. This cost is absorbent.
Vodacom CEO. when do intend having your people do their job and sort peoples problems out. How is it possible that a problem that should take less that a day to sort out is not resolved in 3 months and still remain unresolved. Is your major task to see how long you can make your subscribers wait for money owed to them, cut their service and hope this goes away while the overpaid money remains in your coffers.
I hope that a competent person will handle this problem and resolve it. You are costing me money, but I am more than 100% certain that you will not reimburse me for the expenditure that I have made to keep my guests with WIFI.
Lets see if I get some response from someone who cares after writing this review. I Still have 7 months of my contract remaining, but if this matter is not resolved I have no alternative but to refuse to pay another cent to Vodacom. I have not broken the contract, you have.
