Legal handover - paid up Vodacom account

Vodacom refuses to provide me with a paid up letter & is instead insisting my account is in arrears. This nightmare started when I did a premature cancellation of my son's acc as well as mine in May'21. After several tiring attempts, I only managed to obtain the paid up letter for my son's acc this month August'22. My acc which I was told was on the old system at the time according to them is in arrears & handed over to attorneys. On the 28th of May 2021, I was forwarded 2x separate quotations for both acc's. Both acc's were settled the same day as per the quotations. Both quotations & both invoices were forwarded to Vodacom offices from the Voda shop that was assisting through the whole process & at which the settlement payments were done. Thereafter no response was received from Vodacom. According to them, cancellation letters would be automatically be forwarded once the payment reflected on their records which would take a few days. I unfortunately didn't follow up on the issue thereafter up until I started being hounded by Vodacom claiming I still owed them. I decided to ignore the calls since I kept on telling them about having paid them in full but was subjected to their resistance. Now this month am being harassed by the lawyers about the same issue. The lawyers had no details regarding the handover instead referred me back to Vodacom. After all the back & forth emails & calls to vodacom, I have since not received any email explaining why they say I'm owing them even after re-sending my quotations & proof of payment. I'm instead being sent emails stating my query has been closed. I therefore need hellopeter to intervene in the matter. If there was a zero rating. Vodacom wholeheartedly deserves it.

Received an email requesting proof of payment last week. Sent it through but still waiting for a response even now.

Instead of providing an explanation, Vodacom has yet again sent me an email saying my query is closed. Another one with a statement still reflecting a balance that they also cannot explain up to now. Since I'm not getting any joy from them, maybe I must take this matter further to the ombudsman maybe there I will obtain a solution for my situation.
