Lack of Information

As per normal l was due for my UPGRADE on my cell phone contract.

Voda world contacted me and made it sound so easy.

Normally l go into the store to do my upgrade.

This was less hassle and I was told the new phone gets delivered to my door step.

Everything will remain exactly the same.

Boy was l in for a surprise.

I'm a 76year old lady on pension and I certainly did not need a new number or 2 cell phone lines.

I just wanted the same contract and basics in place as before.

I was misinformed as I was told that all I'm doing is a upgrade which in actual fact meant a new number and contract.

I wanted to keep my existing number as I've had it for years and the package l was on works perfectly for my needs.

When I received my new phone l had all my info transferred so that I could keep my existing number.

When my cell phone bill was R1200 l started asking questions as it has never been more than R300.

6 phone calls later and a week of getting a different story every time I call l have now found out that I am liable for 2 cell phone lines that's why my bill is so high.

I did not agree to a new line only an upgrade.

At 76 years old l cannot afford this type of expense nor do I have the means to pay these bills.

Nobody can help me solve this problem.

I need to resolve it urgently.

Denise Muller
