Lack of connectivity
I live in a rural area just outside Springs. Our cables were ****** many years ago, so we are reliant on 3G data for internet connectivity. For 3 or 4 years I have been with Vodacom, and the connection has always been stable and fairly quick. Until about 2 months ago when the line started to drop all the time.

I logged some calls, and was eventually told that the pole was too busy and needed to be upgraded, and this was already planned for \sometime in 2017\". I was coming to the end of a 24 month contract, and they offered to cancel it, but that is not good enough - surely they have an obligation to maintain the level of service.

Not to mention that I now have 2 data devices which cost over R1000, which are now useless, and i will have to spend a similar amount for new devices for a new service provider IF I can find one.

I may have to go to Satellite which will cost R400 per month extra.

Can Vodacom just drop customers when they feel like it? They are not a parastatal are they?

Bob Byrne
[Email Removed]"
