Lack of communication by Vodashop Repair Centre - Tygervalley

Good day. This is to share my utter disappointment with the lack of communication by the Vodacom Repair Centre - Tygervalley.

We booked my wife's Huawei P30 Lite in for screen repair under insurance on 5 March 2022. On Monday, 7 March 2022 we received an E-mail that the device is booked in and a job number was issued. Tuesday, 8 March 2022 we received a follow up E-mail notifying that the device is being assessed.

Needless to say, it's been almost a week since, with no further updates as to the repair status. I have called the store numerous times in the last few days on their advertised numbers but they do not bother to answer the telephone (seems to be a standard, judging from the Google reviews). I have sent an E-mail and the address also doesn't exist anymore. I have sent another E-mail to the escalations E-mail address and have yet to hear back. I contacted the Customer Care for Vodacom, thinking there is a way that they can assist but was told that the store is a franchise and there is nothing they can do for me. I have contacted the Vodashop Chatz Connect in Tygervalley and the lady there was very helpful in taking the details and saying she will walk over to their shop and speak to the Manager as she wouldn't want me driving there just for an update.

As of now, no attempt has been made by the store to make contact with us.
