Lack of communication and service for a home fibre instillation.
I am disgusted. I have been trying for weeks to get Vodacom Fibre installed. Salespeople never call back - keep escalating the complaint. Finally, give up and apply through a different service provider. It gets all approved and then the installation team does not arrive at the appointed time. They escalate the complaint.
A week later, it is now installed but there is a problem with the street connection. The installers log a call-out but now Vodacom knows nothing about it. The number the installer gave to follow up on the complaint goes unanswered (Pearl Moyakhe). Fibre helpdesk then tells me that number cannot receive calls and don't know why the technician gave it to me. They say it can take up to a week to respond to the complaint and make a new appointment to complete the installation - but will escalate the complaint. Subsequent calls just give the same response - they will call and make an appointment. And yet nobody ever calls.
I have concluded that "escalating the complaint" means the client is moaning so we ignore them completely or put their name at the bottom of the pile each time they call.
My wife runs a business and needs internet. Vodacom's lack of communication and poor technical service is now affecting her business and it's costing a fortune to keep loading data on her phone. Maybe that's their business model - lock you into the promise of unlimited data but then keep selling additional phone data at ridiculous prices.
