Lack of communication

My phone had physical damage and I sent it in to the vodacom shop at promenade on 25 September 2017 where the phone was purchased from . Upon handing my phone in for repairs I was told it would take approximately 14 working days for all repairs to be completed and I would get my phone back in the same time frame. I was informed that I would receive an SMS stating that when I needed to collect my phone as it was at the repair shop in Somerset West. 18 days later I took it upon myself to go into the store to find out what was going on and when I got there a sales person told me to wait for an SMS and so I left on that note. The following week I returned to store and was given the same story about waiting for an SMS , I wasn't having that so I drove to Tygervalley's vodacom and was helped but an awesome young man who informed me that my phone was in Johannesburg not at Somerset West, this shocked me because the last time I heard my phone was at Somerset West repair which was confirmed by the store via SMS. At Tygervalley the young man also informed me that the phone was irrepairable and that Huawei gave Vodacom Promenade the go ahead to let me pick out a new phone within the same price range on 5 October 2017, mind you I went to Tygervalley on 19 October 2017. I went back to Promenade after having spent the bulk of the day finding out what was going on with my phone and told them what I found about my phone and they told me that their computers don't necessarily work and all the excuses in the book came out, I wasn't having that. Eventually the manager came to me and apologized for everything and promised to call when I had to collect my phone. I was called on 26 October 2017 to have my phone collected and I picked it up yesterday as I was at work . Moral of the story is The Vodacom Shop in Promenade Mitchells Plain has no clue what customer service is all about, promptness and accountability are key in customer service. Their customer service is beyond pathetic
