Lack Of Care For Customers Needs

Let me start by expressing that I am very disgruntled by the service I am receiving from Vodacom.

I insured my Huawei Nova 8i at your Vodacom store in Baywest Mall ,Port Elizabeth in 2022. Last year I submitted my claim as my device was ******. I submitted documentation at the Data store in Baywest mall. I was then advised that my claim is only approved for a lousy R750. I then asked why ,as that is not even the market value of the phone not to mention the price of the phone at the time I took out the insurance. I was told that it's that! I want to add that your staff at the data store does not have customer etiquette, some training needs to be provided and if they are fully trained I suggest they get their attitudes in line. Your staff member was more worried about what ever she wanted in your kitchen then attending to me.

I eventually went to the other Vodacom store where I was willingly assisted and helped in a professional manner. Arnold took the matter upon himself to assist however my query is still not resolved.

My questions are as follows: 1. Why would your consultant sell under insured insurance to their customer? 2. Why was my claim approved and then I was advised that it was a gift hence it won't pay out. How is it your business how I got the phone, why was this not told to me when I initially came and app**** for insurance? 3. Why can my premiums not be back dated since it's clear that your consultant made an error in loading my application, yes I signed but in all honesty she should have double checked and highlighted my premium with my cover amount to me.They admitted in the store that a human error was made. I was assisted by Megan at Vodacom Baywest in 2022. 4. I was not advised that I could claim on this device if I changed or removed this sim card. The sim card was never removed ! I only did the sim swap recently. 5. Now when dealing with numerous consultants n the insurance call centre I'm being sent from pillar to post for a claim form whereby your stores in Baywest cannot assist me with as the system only backdated to 6 months.

If I I knew all of the above I really would have gone and insured my device elsewhere.

In closer , someone is not doing their work, to give miss information and changing the status of my claim and the device insured was then showing an Iphone at a time. This just proves that I'm dealing with a number of *********** people. I am not pleased with a betterment fee at all, I was not even explained about this when I app**** for insurance. This is my 3rd bad experience with Vodacom and this will be my last, I will definitely be moving my business to service provider that does not rob customer's and cares for customers needs first!
