Lack of assistance from Vodacom
I recently had my cellular contract changed from a company phone to private phone. For this I approached the Vodacom Store at Bayside, eventually assisted by Steve.
Since the change I have noticed that I do not have access to data on the handset, although this is part of the contract – I again approached Steve who asked me to restart the phone after he discussed this with Vodacom HO. I got sms’s from Vodacom stating that my call has been logged and that a consultant will be contacting me shortly. Needless to say this has not happened.
A week later and I still do not have access to data – after visiting the store again and Steve not being available, the consultant tested my SIM card in another handset, the SIM card not being faulty. I was then informed to perform a SIM Swop. I did ask the question of costs involved – I have to pay for this myself, even if the SIM card is faulty. I do not believe this is the problem owing to the fact that I can make and receive calls.
I then asked to speak to the Area Manager / Country Manager – the standard reply I got was to speak to the call centre. I WENT TO A STORE NOT TO SPEAK TO A CALL CENTRE AGENT
I have wasted close to 3 hours with this and it is still not resolved.
I do not want a standard reply as below from Vodacom – have the issue resolved!
