Kicked while I'm down a bully tatctics and lies!!!
I am very disturbed at the lack of service, understanding and compassion from a company as big as Vodacom. Bear with me this is a bit of a long story but it is just that frustrating.
In 2016 I resigned from my job due to personal issues. I paid all my accounts including my vodacom account up until my provident fund ran out. I then informed all my creditors including Vodacom of the situation and was appalled at the response of well we can split the outstanding amount over two months for you. The outstanding amount being that of the entire contract of which I was not going to use. I being in the position I was offered to pay R500 a month as I could not afford more. I kept getting calls and having to explain this again over and over with the answer being the same, they would not accept such a small amount.
Eventually they agreed to let me pay that amount and I did. I missed a payment as the company I worked for was going through some financial problems and didn't pay me for a month promising to catch up the following month. I explained this to Vodacom and was promptly handed over to VVM Attorneys.
I asked VVM that since it was no longer a service agreement and now an outstanding debt if I could pay it through my debt counseling payment. Again after over 3 months of backwards and forwards they agreed.
I have made payments every month, some months late as I was paid late but I made the payment and the money was distributed through my debt counseling to VVM. I last month get a call from Jacobs and Burnard and they inform me that they have taken over my account with Vodacom and that I haven't paid since December last Year. I inform them of the payment arrangement with VVM and they say they cannot find out anything from VVM as they are not allowed to.
I have informed Jacobs and Burnard that I pay as soon as my account is credited with the payments of over R2000 already made to VVM. But they are not interested, basically telling me I must sort this out with VVM. I have phoned VVM and was told I am not on their system so I must be paid up. I explain the situation and am told they have no record of me. I ask please to speak to a manager and am told none are available and that one will call me back. Of course I am still waiting for that call.
I am at my wits end, yes I owe Vodacom Money, yes I can only pay R500 a month and am willing to pay, all be it sometimes late but it always gets paid. But I will not pay again when I have paid over R2000 to Vodacom's appointed collectors and then they change collectors and the money I have already paid is now "missing".
I am so frustrated, and the worst part of all this is that I also had a cell c account and when I explained the problems to them they put my account on hold until I found work again and were more than willing to help me which is a huge difference to the experience I have so far received from Vodacom.
Please could someone competent from Vodacom get hold of me and let me know what to do from here? AND where the money already paid has gone to?
