Keeping me in contract against my will

My contract ran out on May. I phoned Vodacom on 12 June to cancel my contract and move over to pre-paid. The process to cancel was very tedious and they kept me on the line with all kinds of questions to keep me on the line. They were throwing new products and special offers at me.... why now when i want to cancel? I was told by the agent that I should switch off my phone on 30 June and then switch it back on on 1 July. I would then be on Pre-paid. When I switched on the phone on 1 July is was still on Contract and new airtime and data bundles was allocated to me. I phoned at 7:50am to report this to Vodacom. I was told that they would rectify it and that an emergency cancellation would take place. I was told that I should turn off my phone again and switch it on on 2 July. This was done but still i'm on contract. I'm now being held in a contract against my will by vodacom. I can't buy prepaid airtime or data and i'm being forced to use the bundles that has been allocated to me! I will not pay for any data or airtime used in July! I have followed all reasonable processes to cancel my contract. Vodacom's inability or deliberate action to move me to prepaid is preventing me to get out of my contract. This is now a legal matter as i am being kept in contract against my will. My number is ********** 282
