Just when you think it can't get worse...

The Vodacom problem is firstly a corporate mind-set problem. Then it feeds into a IT system malfunction problem. And then, more often than not, you engage with quality employees who are trying to make things right which they can't. I just upgraded my contract - and the man who helped me scores 8 out of 10. Yet, I have just experienced Vodacom's new wave of client sabotage. What do I mean? I have been blocked access from the tollfree number (082135 - and other lines) - to be more accurate, "...you have exceeded your monthly access to our call centres...". rings the e-voice. And then the line shuts down. How about that. And this message is for both my business and private accounts (which, by the way, I am the master account holder for but my cell phone number cannot be linked to it!). I may no longer toll-free contact the call centre irrespective of the fact the REASON why I am contacting the call centre is because of unresolved issues. What an ingenious business model. You lure clients with product sales and then prohibit them from solving the myriad of problems related to the product. It is like buying a broken product from a store which may not be questioned or returned. You pay for a product that is owned by the seller.
