Just not working as it should

I would like to express my frustration regarding the current process required to transfer an eSIM between devices.

I am attempting to move my existing eSIM from my iPhone to my iPad — a task that, in principle, should be simple and seamless. However, I have been informed that this cannot be done directly due to contract-related security restrictions. Instead, I am required to visit a store, convert the eSIM to a physical SIM, and then convert it back to an eSIM on the new device.

This process is unnecessarily complicated, time-consuming, and impractical. Given current technology, one would expect such a basic function to be achievable digitally and securely without requiring in-person intervention.

While I understand the importance of security, the current system does not strike a reasonable balance between protection and usability. It creates inconvenience for legitimate users while offering what appears to be an outdated and inefficient solution.

I would appreciate clarity on whether there are plans to modernise this process and allow secure, direct eSIM transfers between devices.
