Just increasing my contract

How can they just increase my contract price 9 months before i upgrade? As far as i know, my contract is for 2 years on a fixed price. When i phone ***...i hang up after 15min listening to music. I feel they are bridging this contract, then ill rather go to cell C after 13 YEARS of loyal service with vodacom.
