Jumping through hoops with Vodacom Insurance to get a claim processed.
I lost my insured phone on the 8th April and sent a completed claims form to Vodacom 2 days later on the 10th. After getting no response for a week I called ********** and spoke to Mosa who told me that they were missing a copy of ID which I send while still on the phone with her and she gave me a claim number to take to any Vodacom store. The store then tells me the claim number is invalid so I have to call again to get a valid one. I called again and could not get Mosa as she was on another call, I spoke to Simone this time and I had to resend all the claims documents afresh which I did and she gave yet another claim number and told all I had to do now was go to Vodashop with an ID plus that number and will be sorted. Vodacom store now tell me I'm missing a Company Letterhead since the phone was on Business contract, luckily I had an authorization letter on a letterhead and I gave it to Nolan at Vodacom 4u which he scanned and emailed to the insurance department. Zanele who was on the phone with him from insurance and she told him to hang and she would call back in ten minutes to finalise. I wandered around the mall and kept checking in every 30 minutes and when I finally gave up 3 hours later she still hadn't called. I call Vodacom customer service on 082135 and the lady I spoke to literally tells me that there's absolutely nothing she can do as her side of the business has no line of communication with the insurance department... that's the so called customer service by the way. Now I've been without a phone and there's obviously nothing I can do about it and guess what... payment will go off again at the end of the month. That's Vodacom for you
