It's official: Vodacom hates us.
That's it. I've had it with Vodacom. After they've been overcharging me for ten months, I contacted them. They admitted at least part of their mistake and credited my account with over R2,000. This is really only the tip of a very frigid iceberg. So here is my daily ritual: I phone Vodacom. They indicate that they are moved by my distress over the matter. They then inform me that they are "logging the call." They then promise to approach their accounting department. They then solemnly swear to phone me back... and nothing happens. Until the next day when we repeat the entire ritual. That's not the worst of it. Vodacom cannot explain to me what the amount is outstanding on my account. I can therefore not pay them. So they then, in the midst of our dispute, suspended my line. So they overcharged me, they are unwilling to investigate the matter, they refuse to contact me about it and now they refuse to deliver the service undertaken in the contract between us. This is a clear breach of contract. So, since Vodacom has exited the contract, I will do the same. I will not pay another cent. I have finally reached the end of my tether. Even if Vodacom did contact me now, I will not re-enter this contract. I have recorded my calls to Vodacom and will post these on social media. If nothing else, they are somewhat comical, especially the parts where yet another Vodacom agent promises yet again to investigate the matter and phone me back.
