IT'S 2022 VODACOM!! GROW UP!!

My first contract with Vodacom, my first month in and already they're a ***** up!!! I got a new phone and opened my contract with Vodacom on the 30th of November 2021, on the 4th of January 2021 I woke up to a debit order from Vodacom to the amount of R851.99 and my contract clearly states that the total amount to be debited is R578.99. (This is besides the stupid monthly R8 fee you need to pay for caller ID which I added the next day). I called and disputed the amount of R851.99 that very same day (the 4th of December and the assistant on the phone, Thumelo Mlooi said he does not know why Vodacom debited that amount and created a case. I called back today, 13 January 2021 to follow up as VODACOM did not reach out to me, the client, with an update or feedback on my case.

After speaking to Winnie today she had explained the following: -I have been debited for the month of November and December regardless of the fact that I only took the phone out on the 30th November. (not sure if pro rata was included for the 30th and 31st of November that I had the phone. if so- the amount is still ridiculous) -I cannot get a refund and instead got credited to my Vodacom account as I was too late in disputing the amount. (I literally disputed the same day It came off my account)

WHAT NONSENSE IS THIS VODACOM!!!???

When I took out this contract not one person explained to me that I was going to be charged for airtime for the month of November- why the hell would I want airtime for a month that has already passed?? Nowhere in my CONTRACT did it state that I will be given extra airtime and be charged for it or be charged for a device for the month of November - I would have DEFINITELY declined and waited TWO more days, which would have then been the 1st of December, before taking out a contract to avoid this.

Vodacom, your billing system is horrible! You are manipulating your customers and have the nerve to not try your best at solving the case.

With all these "Fine Print" charges, surely you can INVEST in your staff's training so that EVERYONE is on board and communicates the correct information to your customers.
