It's not that difficult

I sent Vodacom an enquiry on the 15th of March to update my MyVodacom account with my new contract number. I had an account a few years ago - but I have since cancelled that contract. I now need to access my account again, but I am unable to do so. In order to reset my password, I need to provide an OTP. An OTP that is sent to a cancelled number. Vodacom authenticated me multiple times and told me all I need to do is to re-register my account.

I tried that - with no avail. The website and vodacom app only allows a single account to be linked to an SA ID Number (which makes sense). I responded to vodacom with the issue (ie that I cannot re-register my ID number on a new account), but all I get told over and over again to to re-register my account. Can't you understand a person has a single ID number? Its really not that hard to understand what the issue is here.

All someone needs to do is to update my cellphone number on my profile. It can't be that difficult. And if that can't be done, delete my existing profile so that I can re-register. If your software don't allow you to do it - ask your developers to run a script on your database to get this sorted.
