It's easier to die than finish a contract

My contract on ********** 792 expires on 7 February 2017, I am not renewing it but wish to retain the number as prepaid. I sent an email to the Retentions/Cancellations department but heard nothing back.

Today I phoned the "Customer Care" centre (what an oxy*****).

After being interrupted a number of times by the agent while I was trying to explain to be told that my account is in arrears (but not cut off because I'm using the line to talk to them - ***).

Unable to complete my story, I must admit I lost it. To get rid of me the agent transferred me to another IVR series.

I've been a Vodacom customer since 1992, this is not Customer Care by any stretch of the imagination!!!!
